Meet Amanda La Magna. Her passion for Health and Fitness is the very reason why she never stops learning and expanding her knowledge of the wellness industry. She’s a certified as Holistic Health Coach by the world-renowned Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) She specializes in helping you achieve your personal health and fitness goals. Amanda is also certified by “Yoga Alliance” as a Vinyasa Yoga instructor, a Mat and Reformer Pilates Instructor by the STOTT pilates method, and a Fascial Stretch Therapist by the Stretch to win institute.
Amanda (originally from Toronto, Canada) has also been an international working fashion model for over 10 years having lived in Hong Kong, Cape Town, Singapore, Bali, Hamburg and Berlin. While she traveled she completed several of her certifications and taught in various countries. She moved back home to Canada with new knowledge, new passions and a fire inside to help those around her. Health and fitness have always been a big part of her life, not to mention her love of travel and exotic cuisines!
In 2011, Amanda started to notice her immune system wasn’t up to par and she was having skin problems. She figured that this was due to stress from always moving between countries and an active nightlife. She assumed her diet was fine because she had eaten the same way since her teens. This brought her to seek out where these issues could be stemming from. After a lot of research and some lifestyle changes, she began to recognize the connection between the Primary and Secondary foods in her life. Primary and Secondary food is a concept created by IIN. Primary Foods being the things in life that feed you but don’t come on your plate; Relationships, Career, Physical Activity and Spiritual Practice. Amanda based herself in Berlin, Germany and fell in love with Yoga and Pilates. She signed up for the teacher training and enrolled at IIN feeling deeply that this was the path she was meant to be on and consciously started to integrate all these concepts into her life. Then she really listened to what her body and her mind needed.
Amanda loves to go to farmers markets, and when she’s not cooking or baking up a storm (yes, she shares her healthy recipes on her blog!), she’s filling her days with all types of physical fitness, meditation and health coaching. Working together, she will guide you towards living in alignment with your goals and ultimately achieving them!
